A Buyer’s Guide to Quality Control: What Happens Before Your Shipment Dispatches

Sourcing bulk product lines internationally requires absolute trust in quality assurance protocols. Without strict pre-shipment oversight, minor manufacturing variances can compromise an entire consignment.

1. Raw Material Audit (Pre-Production): Quality control begins before cutting starts. High-grade fabrics undergo GSM verification and tensile testing, while full-grain leathers are inspected for grain consistency, thickness uniformity, and dye fastness.

2. In-Line Inspection (During Assembly): Monitoring assembly mid-production catches systemic errors early. In-line checks verify stitch density (stitches per inch), seam strength, alignment tolerances, and hardware attachment.

3. Final AQL Random Sampling (Pre-Shipment): Before release, goods undergo Acceptable Quality Limit (AQL) statistical sampling. Inspectors check dimensions, packaging integrity, barcodes, and final finishing under strict trade tolerance standards.
